Recently BlackBerry announced the availability of BlackBerry Bold 9700 in India via carriers like Airtel, Aircel, BSNL, Idea Cellular, Loop Mobile, MTNL, Reliance, Tata Indicom and Vodafone. Unlike the BlackBerry Bold 9000 it comes with 3G, BlackBerry OS 5.0 and more updated features.

As you can see, the design is much different from its predecessor BlackBerry Bold 9000. The traditional trackball navigator is replaced with an optical trackpad and the change is working surprisingly than trackball. A slight press and click lets you select an item to navigate where you want to go. Just below trackpad the 35-key full QWERTY Keyboard is ideal for typing the emails and short messages. The newer Bold replaces the miniUSB connector with microUSB and it has 3.5 mm headphone jack. The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is lighter in weight and smaller in size to Bold 9000 but its 480×360-pixel resolution at 245 pixels per inch certainly keeps things clear and sharp.

RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700 has BlackBerry OS 5.0 with 624 MHz processor, which brings some enhancements to the messaging and calendar capabilities as well as to the BlackBerry browser. Its Hi-speed 3G network connectivity lets you browse the web or view email attachments faster. While Wi-Fi support enables your BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone to access available hotspots. You can store music files with 256 MB on board memory and expand it up to 32 GB with microSD card. You can also capture some great moment with it 3.2 Mega Pixels camera, make video and share it with your friends, relative on social networking sites. It supports Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, which helps in faster data transfer. You can use and do more activities with the Bold 9700 as it gives the 6 hours of talk time and up to 17 days standby.

So, finally the BlackBerry Bold 9700 yet another incremental step for a company that has done well with incremental steps so far.
